Being the fact that I am attending a University, the article about free speech must be protected caught my attention. To summarize it, Amanda was continuously investigated by her school for the posting she had on her Facebook about the cadaver and referencing it to her ex while having a dissecting knife that brought attention to the University even though her comment was meant as a joke. Now if you can’t have freedom of speech on the Internet than you cant have freedom of speech anywhere.
As I see it, She did the wrong thing by 'playing' around with the cadaver. People donate their body to science because they believe in one thing and not to be played around in any way as a joke. That’s the only thing I see wrong. The University had a right thing to investigate on this and I don't see it in any way as violating her freedom of speech because freedom of speech is overrated now a days.
